Mot tests
We undertake MOT’s on Class 4 and 7 vehicles from Monday to Friday.

John Newman Bodyworks undertakes MOTs on Class 4 and 7 vehicles across Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. 

The MOT test lasts for around 60 minutes and they can be booked between 8am and 4pm midweek.

Class 4 Vehicles

Goods Vehicles up to 3,000kg DGW - £54.85
Ambulances & Taxis (may be subject to additional local requirements) - £54.85
Private Passenger Vehicles & Ambulances (9-12 passenger seats) - £57.30

Class 7 Vehicles

If the vehicle is left at the testing station for repair and is retested before the end of 10 working days following the day of the initial failure, then only a partial retest is needed for which no fee may be charged. If the vehicle is removed from the testing station for repair and returned for retest with 10 working days following the day of the initial failure, then only partial retest is needed and a partial retest fee may be charged.
Only one Partial Re-Examination is permissible per full examination

Appeal test fee – Full Fee
If you wish to appeal against refusal to issue a test certificate for your vehicle:

Ask for a form (VT17) – obtainable from this testing station or the VOSA website: www.direct.gov.uk

Send the form, with a further full test fee to reach the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency office shown below within 14 working days of the refusal notice issue date.
If your appeal is successful, the fee or, if appropriate, part of it will be returned to you.

Do not have your vehicle repaired before your appeal is considered. This is because any change to your vehicle may affect the outcome of the appeal.
